Germaine Austin is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Beliesol and Belietech and the Managing Counsel of Beliesol Legal. He also serves as Equity Holder and the Chief General Counsel for Ucensys Research LLC and its parents and subsidiaries, an information technology and research company focused on artificial intelligence solutions. As the CEO of Beliesol and Belietech, Germaine helps companies develop the framework for consumer-facing mobile applications and hardware technology. He also acquires and invests in start-ups and new technology. As the managing counsel of Beliesol Legal, he serves as a transactional attorney, working with individuals and the management teams of Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and entrepreneurs, to manage their day-to-day operations as counsel. He provides legal and business advice, guidance, and support on a wide range of commercial matters. He conducts research and analysis to advise on laws, rules, and regulations applicable to products, services, and offerings, and helps companies bring new technology products to market. He also provides oversight on intellectual property matters, compliance issues, works to resolve claims raised by regulators and consumers, drafts and negotiates a wide variety of contracts, and also acts as the subject matter expert on a number of regulatory issues, data privacy issues and consumer protection issues. On the litigation side, Germaine represents individuals and companies in court on a variety of matters including, but not limited to, breach of contract disputes, premises liability issues, real estate disputes, personal injury claims, insurance claims, construction claims, malpractice issues and product liability lawsuits. He has over 11 years of litigation experience.
Germaine also gives back to his community by dedicating his time towards service organizations and service projects. He supports leaders and leads organizations that focus on equality, police accountability, voting rights, racial acceptance, and civil and human rights issues. He is a graduate of LEAD Atlanta 2018, the Georgia Bar Leadership Academy and he has received several community activist, social action, and service awards, including the Army Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Altisource
Mr. Austin previously worked for Altisource, where he helped manage the day-to-day operations of approximately five companies in the marketplace segment as primary counsel. The companies he managed were in the areas of sales, e-commerce marketing, brokerage services, auction services and payment services.
Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP
Before serving as counsel for Altisource, he was an attorney on the Corporate Transactions and Business Litigation team at Hawkins Parnell and Young, LLP. While there, he was legal counsel to public and private companies, advising on commercial law, employment law, intellectual property issues, contract issues, and mergers and acquisitions.
Thomas Kennedy Sampson & Tompkins
Germaine became an Associate at Thomas Kennedy Sampson and Tompkins, LLP (Thomas Kennedy) in January, 2015. During his time at Thomas Kennedy, he managed cases in pre-litigation and litigated cases in Magistrate, State and Superior Court. His areas of practice were premises liability, personal injury, and insurance defense. He also served as counsel to a major fortune 500 company and managed their internal investigation process, to determine employee and management’s compliance with anti-kickback statutes, anti-bribery statutes and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, during the FIFA World Cup. One of his most notable cases involved serving as counsel to the Georgia Board of Education and litigating claims against an elected school board for malfeasance, nonfeasance, leadership management and employment issues.
King & Spalding LLP
He also served as an attorney at King and Spalding, LLP from 2012 to 2014, where he focused on product liability claims, environmental law issues and internal investigations. His most notable matter involved providing guidance, support, and advice to the General Motors Company during its internal investigations case, involving its Takata Airbags and ignition switch products.
United States Army Reserves & United States Small Business Administration
Mr. Austin began his career in the U.S. Army as a Human Resource Sergeant for more than eight years. He gained valuable experience serving clients and his community, protecting assets, and leveraging relationships to achieve results. This continued during his matriculation at North Carolina Central University School of Law (NCCU Law). While at NCCU Law, he served as a consultant with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Technology Department. As a consultant, he evaluated company policies and financial and equity statements and drafted strategic and operational plans to help companies exceed financial and operational goals.
